The programme begins with a review of the functional anatomy and kinematics of the cranio-cervical complex, exploring the relationship between the temporomandibular joint and the cervical and thoracic spine.
Participants examine current concepts in temporomandibular disorders, including pain mechanisms, pathokinematics and the classification of common myogenous and arthrogenous presentations. The course links theoretical knowledge with evidence underpinning clinical tests and takes an integrated approach to assessment, treatment, patient education and multidisciplinary management.
